At approximately 6:00 a.m. on the morning of March 11, 1952 a bouncing baby boy was being introduced into the world in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. As my mother delivered me, my father and older brother were moving us into our new home. At the end of the day I was the proud owner of new parents, a brother, and a brand new home to live in . . . all in all it was a pretty good day . . . well, maybe I could have done without the headache.

Off and on during my school years I went through phases of writing things, poems, letters, very short stories, but nothing much to speak of. But something happened in 1974 that changed all this forever, I joined the U.S. Navy. Finding myself spending great amounts of time alone and extremely far away places, I picked up a pen and began to write. With much urging from my wife Connie I finally finished my first book. This was accomplished quite easily.  Every time I would show her my latest few finished pages she would reply . . . "this is good, now finish it." Surprised I had written more than 25 pages in a row.  At about 100 pages I didn't need any more urging and began to write constantly, the rest is history.

Since the finish of my first book I have finished 9 and am in the process of completing the 10th.  They are works of fiction and SciFi.  I love to write and feeling it gives me to see words forming on the page.  I find it funny because I am not like most writers I have come into contact with, I never know from one word to the next what will come out of my brain.  I start a book and never know what it is even going to be about until I write the words "The End."  I don't know about you but I could never finish reading a book I knew the ending to.  I start writing, turn the lights off and let my mind go.  Sometimes I read something I write and wonder where all that stuff came from.

I have also written 4 books of poetry, each of which is approximately 200 pages in length.  This is my great passion, I love the fact I can put my feeling onto paper and have others know what is in my soul.

On this site can be found many words, poems and stories . . . each different in many ways. Since I never stick with any one mode of writing I hope you find something that will strike your fancy.
